Something that will look nice too on the blog posts page (no only on single post).

I’m not actually using the slider, so, I’m more concerned of having a consistent image size for all posts (and thumbnail preview on the main page).
I’m using 1170x550 (I think I saw it on another thread), is that fine? Or should I use 1349 (with what height?)

Yes, the original image is this: https://149842022.v2.pressablecdn.com/activello/wp-content/uploads/sites/57/2015/11/photo-1438109491414-7198515b166b.jpg 2048*1365 and cropped version is 1170x550

OK, so should I go with 1170x550 for future images (since being higher it’ll be cropped to 1170x550)?

Yes, you can do that as well, but bigger sizes is also acceptable

Generally, an image size of 900 pixels (with any height) is suitable for desktop and mobile.
