Where can I add the_views()?
It depends on where you want it to appear on website. Most likely you want to add it somewhere inside posts so you should look into file called content-extensions.php which you can find inside Theme folder → library → structure.
Personally I would put it somewhere inside entry-meta so search through the code to find the right place where you want your stats counter to appear.
