Hi!
I’ve been trying to set my bar menu links to jump to a section in the homepage area. Say I’m in my blog page and I want to go to the about section (which is on my homepage but a little bit low), by clicking the about in the menu bar at the top. I tried this tutorial and it doesn’t work. Link Menu Items To Frontpage Widgets - Optimizer WP
but it is what I want to achieve.
The tutorial was correct about the method used to achieve this effect. In this case, you would need to inspect (right click > Inspect) the page element then copy and paste the CSS class of the section you want to use in the menu.
Thank you for your quick response!
Please see attached image and tell me if this is what you meant? I don’t know what I’m doing wrong because it’s almost there but not quite. I have gone to my portfolio page (which isn’t on the homepage) and clicked on the about me menu on the top and it does take me to the homepage but it doesn’t scroll down automatically to the about me section.
I put beforehand on the css classes section the same hashtag as the about me button on my homepage which scrolls down to the about me section. But this didn’t work either.
Can anyone please help me? I have been waiting for an answer for 6 days and this is the only thing that is keeping me from putting my website live. And been trying to find solutions but to no avail.
