Blurry Thumbnail Images in Latest Posts Section - revisit

Hello - Let’s revisit this issue that was first described in https://colorlibsupport.com/t/blurry-thumbnail-images-in-latest-posts-section/. I tried the suggest plugin “regenerate thumbnails” but it does not make any difference. Please see my page at https://www.uglyresearch.com/#latest-news

It appears the the distortion is caused by the way the theme resizes the featured image for the latest posts section. Is there a solution that Illdy recommends?

We need the WP Login details, please provide that in a Private reply.

In the mean time, can you try this for the last post, can you completely delete the featured image and re-upload the featured image for one post, and see how the image display is that blurry or it fixes the issue?

Hi Laranz - I completely deleted the featured image and re-uploaded it to the latest post (https://www.uglyresearch.com/machines-gone-wild-plus-microlearning-data-science/). It is still blurry on the latest news section (https://www.uglyresearch.com/#latest-news).

Also, there appears to be another image size problem. The featured image for one of the posts on the main blog page (https://www.uglyresearch.com/insights-weekly/) is huge. See the 6th post “UNDERWRITERS + ALGORITHMS, AVOIDING BAD CHOICES, AND EVIDENCE FOR RARE ILLNESS.” featured image. It does appear correctly size on the blog post (https://www.uglyresearch.com/underwriters-algorithms-avoiding-bad-choices-and-evidence-for-rare-illness/).

I’ve added one php code in the child theme function.php file, cant recall that code but it’s about new thumbnail size, :slight_smile: you can check it in child theme function.php file
Can I close this case now?
