Modifying the Testimonial block

Hi, folks!

Two questions:

1. How can I shrink the testimonial box? It’s huge as shown below:
   

   

2. I was able to use some custom CSS padding to have the stars overlap the box creating a cool effect. I used some top-padding, but it messed up the box. Do you have any ideas?

How I tried to do it (the effect I want, but I cannot figure out how to properly do it):

I want the stars higher, but I am having issues properly doing this in CSS.
