Slide on Website Slider Images

Hello,

at the moment I have a slider on my website, which shows all all my articles but I only want to display the last 5 articles with the slider.

How is it possible?

Hi Annika,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

In the latest version of theme we have removed the slider posts restriction so it displays all the slider posts having slider category.

You can control which posts to display in the slider by adding or removing slider category from the posts.

If you still want it as the older way then you can try achieving this using the child theme colorlib-child-theme-103.zip shared in the following topic.

You can upload and install it like other WordPress themes as described on the following page.

I visited your shared site but saw you are not using child theme on your site.

May be you have just installed it but not activated it.

Also please make sure you have configured the slider settings correctly.

Dear @Movin,

I did not activate it because I wasn’t sure if everything will be the same and I could not see the slide in the preview anymore.

Do you think that I should just activate it?

Without activating it the custom functionality won’t work so you have to activate it.

Depending on situation you may need to reconfigure some theme settings after activating the child theme but don’t worry you won’t lose anything on your site.
