Theme-options Social

Hi,
I’ve just updated WP to 4.4.1 and the Dazzling theme to 2.01. Theme options-> Social has moved to Customise -> Dazzling Options-> Social. I no longer have the option to add a link for the different icons and the icon I had set up has disappeared.

Has this feature been removed ? Please could you confirm ?

Hi Mike,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

In the latest version of theme to create social icons you have to follow the following steps :

  1. Create a menu like any other menu in the admin area of your site under Appearance -> Menus .
  2. Use the correct urls in the menu items, so for twitter it must be twitter.com for facebook it must be facebook.com. Otherwise URLs won’t get recognized and you will get squares without icons.
  3. Set theme location for this menu as “Social Links”

Hi Movin, I followed your post but strangely it didn’t work for me when I created the social menu and placed it in the footer as widget. It just showed the text “facebook.com”. The link I made the same.

Are the social icons meant to appear elsewhere? I looked at the demo of dazzling theme and didn’t see any social icons.
